1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge the conventions of real media products?

(How well have you kept too the conventions of the genre)

The genre of our film is a Heist film which has very particular rules and conventions, these include an archetypical type plot which is a plot consisting of three acts, which usually are the first act which is the preparations for the heist, then the second act the heist itself lastly the third act the unravelling of the plot. All three acts contain different things, i am focusing on just the first act because we filmed and edited the first part of the first act. I believe that we keep to this convention very well because in our plan of the film we explain whats going to happen in the three different stages of the film.

Another convention which is highlighted with a heist film is that there is an all star team of criminals which band together for a job, we have made this a reality with our film. The characters in our film are all famous heist criminals in the fiction world we have created, later on in the film all their special abilities will be revealed when they plan the heist which each of them get allocated special jobs to do to make the heist work. We have created character profiles for each of our characters, these explain their characters in detail.

The next convention that is in our film is based on one last big job for the characters they all want  to give up the crime life before something bad happens, later on in the film all the characters mention this apart from the don who gets away but the two robbers who get caught help the police catch the Don so they get shorter sentences. I think that we did this convention well because the all the characters want to give up the crime life and it shows that crime does not pay to anyone, even the blog.

Overall i think that the conventions of our film show what a heist film is about and correctly portrays a everything that is in the genre.
